Every now and then I toss around the idea of stopping Wanton Wednesday. My reasons in the past were personal and because I was just too busy. But my current reasons are mainly….redundancy. While I always intended Wanton Wednesday to be more inclusive and less restrictive, therefore making it more than just a photo meme, sometimes I wonder if that has harmed it. Perhaps the writers aren’t sure what to comment about on the photographers posts and vice versa? Not sure. But there is a lot of redundancy now; HNT is gone but a few put together “TNH” – it’s not as popular as Sinful Sunday though. There’s Wordless Wednesday, I think. There was Wank Wednesday, for the writers, but I hear that’s been a little dark lately. And the thing is…everybody else does it better than me. I don’t always have the time to visit everyone on the weeks I don’t play (which is more often than not) and I almost never have themes or prompts. If WW went away, there are plenty of other options for doing your thing. Perhaps it is best that there isn’t too much redundancy with these sorts of things….? I don’t have comments on anymore because of the link lists but if you have an opinion on this, feel free to hit me up on twitter (@dangerouslilly).
Speaking of the link lists….I’m using a plugin now instead of LinkyTools. We lose the “like” feature but the links are here on WW and not living at another site. It’s better for you, and more reliable.

Dear players…you may have noticed in recent weeks that when you comment on a WordPress.com blog, you are being asked to log in to WordPress or Gravatar before your comment can get published. If you’d rather not do this when commenting, use/create a secondary blog email address that is not registered with WP or Gravatar. This will bypass the forced login. Of course, this will mean then that the first time you comment on someone’s blog using the new email address your comment will be held for moderation. Blog owners, please be sure to check your held comments!
